How much storage space will you need?
Assessing the amount of storage space you will need requires a little homework. We have prepared the Size Calculator below, which will help you to identify the items that you wish to store and provides a rough estimate of the cubic capacity of each item. Please bear in mind, however, that the size of individual items varies enormously; we have therefore adopted an "average" figure.
There may be many items that are not listed. In this case, simply measure the length, width (or depth) and height of the item concerned and multiply the three figures to give you the volume (cubic feet). Then add this item to the list. Don't forget the contents of cupboards, files, storage boxes, kitchen stores etc.
Once you have a total for all the items that you wish to store, we will advise you on the size of storage unit you will require.
